Felix Mendelssohn's “Wedding March” from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Op. 61 is one of the most recognizable ceremonial works in classical music.
Its brilliant opening, characteristic triplet figures and festive character have made it especially associated with weddings, recessional ceremonies and formal celebrations, while the melody itself remains immediately recognizable in concert and educational settings.
This edition presents the famous theme in C major in a practical version designed specifically for the recorder.

Both alto recorder and sopranino recorder use the F-recorder fingering system, so the same fingering diagrams can be used on either instrument.
On alto recorder, the melody has the fuller and warmer sonority typical of the instrument.
On sopranino, the same fingering patterns produce the music one octave higher, giving the Wedding March a brighter and more penetrating character.
